Context

The client, a Consumer Durables major, wanted an external consulting partner to review and moderate its high-potential identification process. They wanted their business leaders and HR team members to actively participate in the assessment to ensure its alignment with internal business context. Additionally, the client aimed to transition the assessment process from in-person to virtual with the support of the consulting partner.

Impact

BasilTree provided valuable input to refine the design and virtual execution of the Development Centre process, enhancing its rigour and seamlessness.

The active involvement of business leaders in the assessment and feedback processes led to a heightened sense of investment and accountability in making objective evaluations.

The client gained insights into the overall strengths and development areas of the cohort, resulting in the formulation of a clear talent roadmap.

Approach

BasilTree validated the assessment design created by the client and reviewed the tools and simulation exercises used. Additional operational support extended included creating scoring templates and individual feedback reports.

Senior assessors from BasilTree partnered with the client business leaders, functioning as internal assessors, to oversee and moderate the assessment process.

Following the assessments, participants received customized development reports highlighting areas of strength and areas for improvement. Individual feedback sessions with BasilTree assessors were scheduled to provide clarity and address any participant queries.
