Bhawana Mishra

Bhawana founded BasilTree Consulting with one dream – to create an India born, impact-led, talent and leadership consulting firm that clients love and respect and treat as their own. Besides leading BasilTree, she is an Independent Director on the board of a public company, GMM Pfaudler, and is advisor to many boards, CEOs and business leaders, on aligning people practices with their business strategy.

After her Master’s in Applied Psychology, Bhawana started life in consulting with Price Waterhouse and Arthur Andersen. But post the large firm experience, it was at SHL that she found her mojo. Over 12 years, she grew the nascent business to several hundred clients and helped institutionalise leadership assessments in corporations in India.

Bhawana’s professional passion lies in demonstrating measurable business impact of people processes. But when not thinking of BasilTree, or travelling to a new destination, she has re-discovered her childhood love for sketching, over the backdrop of old Hindi melodies.

Rajashree Pisharody

Rajashree’s mantra to success are her varied experiences through life. Being a Psychologist and Counsellor, followed by several years across HR operations and learning domains, have given Raj a heightened sensitivity and nuanced understanding of human behaviour, in addition to her subject matter expertise.

She began her career as a lecturer of Psychology and then joined the consulting firm SHL India, where she worked with an array of clients, carrying out behavioural assessments. She then gained extensive experience in Learning and Development with Hutchison Global Services, Mahindra Logistics, Brinks India and Swadhaar FinServe. Her core functional skills include Psychometric Assessments, Learning Needs Analysis, Content Development, Behavioural Facilitation, and equipping functional managers with people skills.

When not advising clients, Rajashree is a Reiki practitioner who also finds solace and joy in the world of literature and storytelling. One can also find her expressing herself creatively through crocheting.

Preeti holds it all together at BasilTree, having been a part of it since early days. She plays a role in the entire cycle of our work, from client acquisition to project management. She oversees the successful execution of our projects, ensuring complete connect between BasilTree and client teams. Preeti thrives on connecting with people, and so naturally manages all our people matters too. Her eye for detail on project execution ensures our on-site delivery of work is always above benchmark.

Prior to BasilTree, Preeti has worked in Consulting with SHL India. She has an MBA in Marketing, and a successful career post that in product sales. Preeti is fascinated by human behaviour, and how there are multiple perspectives to the same situation.

In moments of leisure, Preeti finds joy in singing and shaking a leg to the beats of Bollywood music, spreading infectious energy around her. Preeti’s elephant memory of trivia and quirky sense of humour, make her the life of any party at BasilTree.

In her free time, Nandita finds enjoyment in spending time with her family, reading fiction and indulging in binge-watching shows.

Affectionately called the nerd of BasilTree, Siddharth’s work spans a number of domains, ranging from client facing consulting to internal research. While he has a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology, his natural affinity for numbers and technology makes him lead our analytics driven work, enabling data-driven people decisions for BasilTree clients.

Siddharth’s functional skills include competency mapping, leadership assessments, developing surveys and customised 360-degree feedback systems, and ensuring seamless implementation of complex client interventions. He also conceptualises and designs workshop content, facilitating sessions on topics like assessments, Development Planning, and Behavioral Event Interviewing.

He has a deep appreciation for Hindustani Classical Music and enjoys attending concerts of both vocal and instrumental music. In his leisure, he practices playing the ukulele and reads both fiction and non-fiction.

Prior to that, she has also worked with SHL India, where she was involved in a number of assessment projects.

In her free time, Yash loves to dance, having completed her Visharad in Kathak. She has a newly discovered passion for Yoga and is a long-standing adrenaline junkie who loves adventure sports and enjoys trekking and travelling.

She is a trained classical dancer and is pursuing her BA in Kathak. She enjoys reading and is a hopeless romantic with book choices and otherwise, hoping to have a purple-themed bakery when she retires.

Shravan’s academic journey led him to Christ University in Bangalore, where he pursued Psychology and HR. Prior to BasilTree, he was involved in projects revolving around compensation and benefits, where he learnt to thrive on the challenge of dissecting complex information and data.

That he hails from a serene foot-hills town, Kalka, shows on Shravan’s usually calm disposition. He is an avid traveller, who especially enjoys trekking to explore new places.
