Context

The client, an Indian pharmaceuticals major, wanted to determine readiness of managers across different levels for progression. This was critical, considering the cohort consisted of approximately 150 junior and mid-level high performing employees, who were nominated by their respective business managers. The client wanted the process to provide the insights for subsequent business-specific, tailored development journeys for both, individuals, as well as the larger cohort. This was specifically intended for those that were identified as high-potential from the assessment process.

Impact

The post-assessment analytics helped identify form the high-potential talent pool.

Insights based on performance in the assessments indicated key areas of strength and development both, at individual and cohort levels.

Themes emerging from the analytics aligned with the developmental mandate set for the organisation by its leadership. This validation of internal observations helped firm up the developmental agenda for employees at different leadership levels, which was to be driven internally within the organisation.

Approach

BasilTree designed a rigorous assessment process based on the competencies and success behaviours identified by the client.

The assessments were spread over two-phases, with participants undergoing virtual, individual exercises in the first phase and interactive, assessor-led exercises in the second phase.

Individual feedback reports that were based on their performance across both phases, were shared with the participants. To holistically understand the feedback from the report, an individual feedback report debriefing session was facilitated by senior consultants from BasilTree for the participants.
