Context

The client, a large Financial Services conglomerate, had a dual objective – assessing the readiness of its early managers for the next band, and identifying their development needs. The identified talent pool was to be specifically assessed on competencies relevant for being effective people managers. Priority development needs were to be identified at an individual as well as at a cohort level, and would be used as an input to their future development planning.

Impact

The client was able to identify high potential talent pool across their various businesses.

The Talent Heads were provided with insights that helped clarify which groups had a greater representation in the ‘top talent’. This was done at a demographic level and in comparison against industry benchmarks.

The insights from the analysis formed a key input in the development journey driven internally by the organisation.

Approach

BasilTree planned a Development Centre process consisting of custom designed simulation exercises that took into account the client’s internal and industry-specific challenges.

A two-phased virtual process was conducted. In the first phase, participants went through individual exercises, whereas in the second phase, assessor-led ones.

Post assessment, sessions were organised for all participants where they were provided with feedback by BasilTree assessors in the presence of their manager and Business HR.

Talent analytics was conducted to identify key areas of strength and development at individual and organisational levels.
