Context

The client, an insurance company, was eager to elevate talent and build diversity by developing and accelerating women leaders.

They were also keen to ensure that their leadership team play a critical role in developing women leaders and take ownership for the same.

Impact

Approximately 20 participants successfully underwent a learning journey over a period of six months.

At the end of the journey, the participants were equipped to become mentors and conduct sessions on leadership for other women managers in the business.

Approach

Topics of Self-Leadership, Building a Personal Brand, Executive Presence, Influencing and Networking, Work-Life Integration were identified post discussions with the HR team and business stakeholders.

Using BasilTree’s Big-Four Leadership Framework, a learning journey was designed taking a holistic approach towards developing women leaders.

A personality questionnaire was administered to facilitate self reflection and awareness about individual personality traits that have an impact on their behaviours at the workplace. This helped set the context for the journey.

The learning journey had multiple virtual learning sessions, group coaching sessions and opportunities to connect with other women leaders.

Learning nuggets were shared with the participants between sessions to ensure continuity.

As a part of the learning journey, participants were expected to connect on a regular basis with their line managers to create and implement their Individual Development Plans.
