Context

The client, a Non-banking Financial Services Company, wanted to identify future readiness of its Department Heads. The client was keen to implement an objective assessment process based on the leadership competencies and behaviours critical for success within the organisation.

The inputs from the assessment process were to be the basis for the developmental initiatives being planned for the cohort, by the HR team.

The client was clear they wanted a virtual process and one that would not take participants too long to complete.

Impact

BasilTree’s process ensured that participants spent less than two hours to complete the virtually administered assessment tools.

The post assessment talent analytics made it possible for the client to identify ‘Ready Now’ and ‘Ready in six months’ participants.

Inputs from the talent analytics have helped shape the internal processes for identifying and developing high potential talent.

Approach

BasilTree refined the client’s leadership competency framework for the purposes of conducting this potential identification process. It was also used to seek feedback from participants’ line managers.

BasilTree further designed Situational Judgment inventories based on simulated case studies. These were used in conjunction with other psychometric instruments.

The assessment process concluded with a feedback report that integrated all inputs on each leadership competency. BasilTree also conducted an interactive session to help participants interpret their feedback reports.
