The client, a renowned international brand of Consumer Products, wanted to facilitate development of two of its senior leaders, who had recently moved into the role of ‘Commercial Director’, for two of their key businesses. The objective was to enable them to lead the organisation to the next level of growth, and to effectively deal with the prevalent business challenges. In addition to overall development as ‘people leaders’, some of the specific focus areas included effectively communicating with internal and external business stakeholders, inspiring and enabling people to deliver results.


The participants proactively participated in the journey, contributed ideas and implemented on-the-job developmental actions.

The progress made by the participants and the actions implemented by them during the journey were appreciated by the Business Head.


BasilTree planned for a ‘Coaching Journey’ with the leaders, comprising ten monthly sessions, with a senior BasilTree Coach.

As an initial diagnostic, we conducted discussions with the Business Head and the HR and L&D leaders, to understand business needs and expectations.

The two participants responded to the Hogan Personality Questionnaires (HPI and HDS) and were also required to take up an internal 360-degree feedback, at the start of the journey.

Regular review meetings were planned that were to be conducted by the BasilTree Coach, with the Business and HR Heads, to review progress and incorporate course corrections, if any.
